George Orwell, Ninteen Eighty Four: It is through encountering conflict that an individual either grows or is corrupted.

This is an essay topic more than a short question. Conflict in the dystopian context of 1984 is something very different than the context of today's world. In 1984, the party thinks there should be no conflict. Everyone worships Big Brother and the party: there is nothing else.
