Mr. Yoshoto is the head of the correspondence art school in Montreal, Les Amis Des Vieux Maetres. He is described as a competent artist, and a man of regular habits. "Jean" describes Yoshoto and his wife as "inscrutable". The art school is unlicensed and is eventually shut down.
