Ginnie Mannox is a teenage girl from a wealthy family, who lives in Manhattan and attends a private girls' school with Selena Graff. She is described as resolute and resistant to manipulation, and yet, she is sometimes manipulative herself. Ginnie is the only character in the collection whose inner thoughts are described by Salinger.
