Who is Miss Eula from My Louisiana Sky and what is their importance?

Miss Eula is the town gossip. When Miss Eula visits Granny, she reports that Hannah has eloped with an older man to escape her abusive father. While Tiger visits with Dorie Kay in Baton Rouge, she asks Miss Eula to help clean-up and keep an eye on Corrina while Lonnie is working. Tiger isn'y sure about the arrangement, as Miss Eula isn't known to keep her own house clean. When Tiger comes back from Baton Rouge, she finds that Miss Eula hasn't done much cleaning in the Parker house, in fact, the house is filthy.
