Describe symbolism in Mutation by Robin Cook

In Chapter Thirteen, the short role-reversal scene, where VJ mentally dominates Victor, is particularly interesting and well written. The scene is symbolic of the creator-monster theme borrowed from Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.
