How does Katherine Mansfield use imagery in Miss Brill?

In 'Miss Brill' all is conveyed obliquely, through concrete imagery and the dramatic
device of Miss Brill's inner monologue. Not once is her inner state alluded to or
described directly. The story is thus the perfect example of the technique Mansfield
described to Murry—oblique, delicately suggestive.
