The Life of Royalty is a major theme. From her birth, Antoinette's life is filled with the education necessary to prepare her for a life of royalty. She is taught well to be graceful, obedient and to please those around her. These lessons are learned well and prepare her for her life as the wife of the heir to the throne of France. Antoinette is still little more than a child when she makes her bridal trip to France. On this trip, she is handed over to the French officials in a traditional ceremony.
