Who is the gentlewoman from Macbeth?

The gentlewoman is charged with taking care of Lady Macbeth while she is going insane (act 5 sc1). She hears all kinds of confessions from Lady Macbeth shouted out in an agitated state. She is scared to tell the doctor what she has heard without anyone to corroborate what she says.
