Little Big Man is written in first person, as a story within a story. First, Ralph Fielding Snell shares his story about finding the story of Jack Crabb; afterward, Jack Crabb tells his own story. As a result, the reader naturally find themselves evaluating the reliability of each of the narrators, and the point of view increases the tension.
