Who is Rudy Tock from Life Expectancy and what is their importance?

Rudy is Jimmy's father, and is the head pastry chef at the Snow Village Resort in Colorado. He goes to work at 1am (often six days a week) and seldom returns until after 8 a.m. Rudy lives for his wife and son, and his parents as well. Though the day Jimmy is born is the happiest in that he has a son and a shining example of the love he has for his wife, it is tempered with sorrow as his father Josef passes away on that day, right at the time that Jimmy is born.
