Leonard was Immaculee's father. He serves as the Roman Catholic Pastor of Mataba. Revered by his fellow villagers, Leonard was often looked to for guidance. Known to be fair and compassionate, he abided by his faith and prayed the rosary often, consulting God daily. Leonard reminded his children that one could never pray too much.

Immaculee attended mass regularly with her entire family. Following God's love, her parents saw no boundaries between religions, social status or ethnicity. They fully embodied what it means to be a Christian. Immaculee's father dedicated many hours to his community, enriching it through religious, building, and scholastic ventures. He was eventually elevated to the director of his school. Leonard's teachings had a profound effect on Immaculee's faith.
