Steven, Last Shot, goes by the nickname of Stevie. He wants to be a sports writer, so he enters a national contest. He wins and as part of his award he receives free tickets for he and his father to the Final Four Championships in New Orleans. Once there, he becomes entangled in a blackmail attempt against the star player, Chip. He and his co-winner Susan Carol, sort through all of the clues to help solve the mystery and allow Chip to go on to win the game.
