What is the author's style in Joni by Joni Eareckson Tada?

The reader can easily relate to the horror and desolation and anger that Joni must feel. However, no one can truly grasp the enormity of the tragedy as well as the one who goes through every painful and depressing phase towards the final acceptance of the new, unwanted life inflicted upon her. Paralleling this journey is her quest in faith. Raised in a devout Christian family, Joni—as anyone would—at first cannot understand how the God she loves could allow her life to experience such a tragic accident. Yet she continues to cling to her faith and eventually is able to trust in the Lord again and grow in His love.
