We might use the exampe of Johnny's decision to work on the handle for Mr. Hancock's pitcher. He is forbidden to work on Sunday, and knows he is wrong to do so. None-the-less, he gives into his pride.... with a bit of encouragement from Mrs. Lapham, and in turn, is permanently injured when Dove purposely and visciously reacts to Johnny's constant badgering and sense of superiority. Johnny made a decision against the will of his boss and mentor, and in addition, he was poorly prepared and subsequently injured. A bad deal all around.
