In 312 AD, Roman Emperor Constantine became convinced that the enormous Roman Empire under his rule was the result of intervention by the Christian God. As a result, he converted to Christianity. In 315 AD, Constantine convened the Council of Nicaea, where scholars and religious leaders, under his direction, worked together to put together what we now call the Bible...... the foundation of past and contemporary Christianity.
