What are the motifs in Ithaka by Constantine P. Cavafy?

One recurring themes or motifs in the poem is that of seeing life as a journey...... something to enjoy and live...... not something to waste in pursuit of things that do not really exist. Happiness is found in everyday life...... there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
