Author, Harold Bloom, is a professor of literature at Yale University, as well as an esteemed literary critic. Bloom began his career with The Anxiety of Influence in 1972, and over the course of his career, his books have explicated the experience of creativity and the relationship between artists throughout western history. In the book, How to Read and Why, Bloom celebrates the pleasures and difficult pleasures of reading.
