Who is F. Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald from Hollywood: A Novel and what is their importance?

F. Scott Fitzgerald was a famous writer. He was not, however, the screenwriter he would like to have been. Zelda was Fitzgerald's wife, renown for her mental breakdown and subsequent time spent in an institution. The couple was well known for their heavy drinking and hard partying.
