Who is Prince Kenric from Heir Apparent and what is their importance?

Prince Kenric is King Cynric's son. He is very interested in magic. Created as one of the game's bad guys, Janine eventually comes to trust him, and by doing so, she manages to win the game. In her first attempt at the game, he stops the Queen from killing Janine when he reminds them that she has been seen entering the castle by many people already.

Kenric is described as having dark hair and light eyes. In the game, he usually wears black, which symbolizes his state of mourning over the loss of his father.
