The story is written in third person from an omniscient point of view, though that perspective is sometimes limited as a part of the literary attempt to misdirect the reader. An interesting aspect of the author's use of perspective is that the reader is sometimes left in the dark about the outcome of a particular scene. The author uses this method to build suspense
