Who is Ghost from Graven Images and what is their importance?

Ghost appears in the story, The Man of Influence. He hires Zorelli to carve a sculpture. Zorelli is initially horrified by the ghost's appearance, but he later comes to believe that he is a Man of Influence. In the end, we learn that the ghost is actually a cutthroat murderer, who killed the heir to the house of Ferrante.
