Who is Homer from Gorgias and what is their importance?

Homer is the author of the early Greek poems, the Illiad and the Odyssey. He first wrote the Western Canon, and he later gained recognition because of his poetic talent. Homer's style was eminently rapid, plain, and direct, both in thought evolution and substance.
