Who is Brian's Parents from Brian's Hunt and what is their importance?

Although Brian's parents do not physically appear in the book, Brian often refers to them. He says he doesn't hate them as it might seem from the fact that he doesn't want to live with them, but rather, that he loves them and appreciates their understanding of his need to be in the wilderness.
