What is the author's style in Finding Nouf by Zoe Ferraris?

Finding Nouf is told in the third person with alternating perspectives. Some chapters are in the perspective of Nayir and some chapters are in Katya's perspective. The effect of alternating perspectives of the two main characters is that readers are able to get a sense of what both characters are thinking but not saying.

Ferraris follows a traditional story arc with background information, rising action, climax, falling action and a resolution. Both main characters also go through their own character arc with demonstrable changes in the end.
