Who is Gordon Knapp from Fail Safe and what is their importance?

Gordon Knapp is an engineer, inventor, and businessman. He is visiting the War Room in Omaha, as his company made much of the equipment in the War Room. Knapp is also the man who informs the others that the idea of the systems being mechanically fail-safe is wrong.
