Lord Teddie is described as a silly man, who likes to play and have fun with the princesses. When he first arrives the palace, he comes to take away the portrait of their mother. When the girls catch him taking the portrait, they become angry and he leaves. He later returns in response to the ad in the paper. After spending time with the girls, Lord Teddie begins to write letters to the King asking for Bramble's hand in marriage. By the end of the novel, Lord Teddie and Bramble are engaged to be married.
