Lord Bradford is the son of the former Prime Minister. He and Azalea meet the night of the ball. After the Queen's death, the King asks Lord Bradford to stop the clock in the tower during the mourning period.

Lord Bradford reveals the palace's secret passageways to Azalea. He also tells her the rumor is that rubbing silver on the initials of the bricks in the palace is what opens these secret passageways. In the novel's conclusion, Lord Bradford professes his love for Azalea, and they get engaged.
