Who is The Quarryman from Einstein's Dreams and what is their importance?

The Quarryman appears in Einstein's dream of a world in which the past can change. The Quarryman was once traumatized in an event where as a child, he urinated in front of his classmates. When his past changes, the memory is erased and he becomes a well-adjusted man.
