The majority of the narrative action of Stuart Woods' novel occurs in and around New York City, New York. The implication here is that the city is the hub of narrative meaning. Admittedly, some of the action does happen in satellite locations. For example, two very significant things take place in Connecticut at Amanda Dart's country home.
