Georg Znaeym was born into a family of small landowners. His family has refused to accept the judgement of the courts regarding a disputed piece of land. Georg calls the land Ulrich's "stolen forest." Georg later accepts Ulrich's offer to become friends, and speaks of the surprise this relationship will cause among the people in the community.
