Insurance fraud is another theme. Paul Manning has a large amount of insurance on his life. Upon Allison Manning's arrival in St. Marks and her report of her husband's death, an insurance inspector comes to the island to discuss this death with her. Based on the fact that the death certificate has been issued, the insurance investigator releases the money to Allison. The amount is twelve million dollars. Allison moves it to an account on the Cayman Islands immediately.
