Who is Jamie Jordan III from Cradle and All and what is their importance?

Jamie is the young, handsome man, who dated Kathleen. The couple care about each other, but unlike other women, Kathleen is not going to be the easy sexual conquest, and Jamie doesn't like it. Jamie's anger causes him to be physically abuse with Kathleen, and he subsequently gets her pregnant. He ends his life by driving off a cliff.
