Who is Great Gram from Corregidora and what is their importance?

Great Gram is Ursa's great-grandmother. She was the first of Ursa's ancestors to be forced into prostitution by Corregidora, who forbid her to have anything to do with black men. Great Gram shares the abuse she suffered in great detail, asking Ursa to remember and pass the stories down to future generations.
