How can we explain the violent collapse of communism in Yugoslavia?
• What are the 6 republics and the 2 autonomous provinces of the former communist Yugoslavia
• Which are the 2 republics that declared first independence in 1991? Bosnia declares independence in …?
• Usually the Serbs and their leader Slobodan Milosevic are perceived as the main guilty part in these Yugoslav wars? why?
• Many researchers argue that the main dilemma of the Yugoslav wars can be referred to as ‘To keep Yugoslavia or to build a greater Serbia?’—what exactly does this statement mean?
• What is the legacy of the wars in the former Yugoslav republics? Which state would you argue had the most to suffer and why?
