Veronica Walker is Virginia's twin sister, and the daughter of Olympia and her first husband Chauncey. Veronica is described as the family hothead, and the more serious of the twins. She wanted to be a lawyer and possibly go into politics. Veronica is upset by the invitation to The Arches, and she refuses to attend. She sees the ball as a racist and fascist event. In the end, she only gives in because her father refuses to pay her tuition if she doesn't.
