Haymitch Abernathy from Catching Fire is awinning tribute several years ago, using the force field as his weapon he won. He thought he would be going in a second time with Katniss but Peeta volunteered for his friend and Haymitch came along as their mentor. He devises an escape plan and inacts upon it but fails to save peeta.
