How does the author use foreshadowing in Catching Fire?

Cinna tells Katniss, “Don’t worry. I always channel my emotions into my work. That way I don’t hurt anyone but myself”, foreshadowing the later attack made upon Cinna because of the political statements he made through Katniss' costumes.
