Who is Ayn Rand from Capitalism, the Unknown Ideal and what is their importance?

Ayn Rand is the primary author of the book since she wrote most of the chapters. She also authored other books, such as Atlas Shrugged, the subject of Chapter 15. Capitalism, a non-fiction work, clearly expresses the author's political views. She states her views on various subjects in this book ranging from free markets to smear campaigns.
