Who is Marcus Porcius Cato from Caesar's Women and what is their importance?

Cato is Servilia's half-brother. He is wealthy, conservative, and old fashioned. Cato's wife has a relationship with Caesar, which after it was exposed, caused Cato to divorce her and forbid her any contact with their children.
