John Savage, in Brave New World, is very important as he is as strong a character (though still secondary) to Bernard. Secondly, he's important because through his eyes we are able to see the dystopia that Bernard lives in, as well as feel the rebellion that comes of his observations. He is unique in that he was born naturally and therefore has a family relationship. John is, in many ways, the anti-bernard in that he DOES what Bernard only dreams of doing. He is the catalyst of change.
