Examples of Imagery:

"I can't escape it, Jenna thought grimly as she rushed from the water, striding up onto the sand. Death follows me" (Chapter 4, p. 51).

"But even as the woman walked her out, Jenna could see in her eyes that in some part of her, Molly Mellace knew. She knew that whatever ghosts of the past had reached out to touch her husband, they were not going to stop there" (Chapter 9, p. 140).
