Who is Rae from Bad Girls of the Bible and what is their importance?

Rae lives in San Francisco and makes her living as a prostitute. She is the fictional representation for Rahab. Over the course of her story, Rae gives refuge to a couple of men who are trying to warn the city about a coming earthquake. She asks them about God and comes to be a believer. When the men leave, they agree to come back and save Rae and her family. She paints a red X on her roof and the men come back to rescue them in a helicopter.
