Who is Jack Coldren from Back Spin?

Jack is a professional golfer, and the husband of Linda Coldren. Jack never makes it as a golfer, and really never makes it as a husband. The fact that he is homosexual and hiding behind the premise of a happy marriage doesn't cut it for his wife. When Jack and Linda's son is kidnapped, Jack refuses to believe the reality of their situation and refuses to back down from the golf tournmament he's participating in to save his son. In the end, the kidnappers prove their seriousness by sending Jack, Chad's finger. As a result, he tries to take his own life, but Linda takes it for him.... her son comes first.
