• Fogg demands satisfaction, and the men agree to handle the matter at the next station. However, the train does not stop due to time schedule constraints.

• The gentlemen move to the last car to conduct their duel, but are preempted by a tribe of Sioux Indians.

• The train has to be stopped before passing the garrison at Fort Kearney.

• Passepartout disappears when the train comes to a complete stop.
