In Arms and the Man, all but Bluntschli, are dishonest in one way or another. Nicola lies about Raina and Catherine's escapades and believes that class division is a given. Catherine lies to herself when she embraces the idea of a romanticized love, but when the reality of the situation arrives, doesn't really love him (well, until she learns that he is rich).
