Orwell belived in socialism, and Animal Farm serves as a caution against totalitarianism. He uses the example of Stalism to expose the way socialist ideals had been corrupted by communism..... the way propaganda and manipulation can create a revolutionary environment based upon the hopes of what could be..... only to breed a situation in which everything you hope for is merely an illusion..... a lie. Orwell's purpose is to caution and expose..... to teach.
