The title, A Tiger for Malgudi, is thought provoking, in true Hindi fashion. The tiger ends up being the more moral being compared to many of the human beings that he comes into contact with. It shows man's inhumanity and cruel nature toward other creatures that he considers inferior. But the title asks the question: who is really the inferior beast?
