Obsessive love is certainly a theme. Unlike The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, where obsessive love leads to mass death, this play is a comedy so it is the lighter side of obsessive love. Shakespeare loves to play with the motif of mixed up characters to achieve his humor.
