All of the main characters agree that the evening has been so strange that they all must have dreamed the events that took place. In Athens the six workmen peform a play and do such a bad job of it that it becomes a comedy. Teh fairies enter, bless the house and Puck addresses the audience apologizing for the folly..and telling them that after all....the entire play might have been nothing but a 'midsummer night's dream'.
