Two characters in the book who succeeded or did not succeed in solving problems

Mugo makes the mistake of accepting and even increasing the isolation initially imposed upon him by his aunt. As a result, and out of fear, he ends up turning in a man who came to him as a friend..... of turning in a man that was subsequently killed.

Karanja falls in love with Mumbi, who does not return his love. He makes the mistake of living his life as a forlorn man. Like Mugo, he isolates himself, but not for the same reasons. In the end, he has nothing.
